Native to India, Guggul lipid has been used for a long time in Ayurvedic medicine to treat obesity and other weight related problems. PROPERTIES:
Parts used: Gum resin

• traditionally combined with other herbs for the treatment of arthritis, skin diseases, pains in the nervous system, obesity, digestive problems, infections in the mouth and menstrual problems.

• lowers cholesterol levels and also separately protected against the development of hardening of the arteries.

• it is also thought to help prevent blood platelet aggregation and break up already-formed blood clots. Thus, this activity can help prevent heart disease and stroke.
• stimulates the activity of white blood cells in the body, contributing to the buildup of the immune system.
• has been used to relieve coughing and lung congestion, soothe mucous membranes and alleviate other respiratory problems.
SUGGESTED DOSAGE: Tincture: 10 to 60 drops three times a day or 2 to 10 pumps of the spray.

CONTRA INDICATIONS: minor gastric upset, mild diarrhea or rash may possibly occur with its use. Speak with your physician before taking Guggul Gum if you are taking blood thinning medicine (examples: aspirin, clopidogrel, ticlopidine, warfarin, etc.) or high blood pressure or migraine medication.
