BUCKTHORN PROPERTIES: Cathartic, Laxative, Purgative, Tonic, Vermifuge. Parts used: root • used medicinally as a gentle laxative • used to treat abdominal bloating, hepatitis, cirrhosis, jaundice, and liver and gall bladder complaints • externally, the bark is used to treat gum diseases and scalp infestations and as a lotion for minor skin irritations SUGGESTED DOSAGE: Tincture: 10 to 60 drops three times a day or 2 to 10 pumps of the spray. CONTRA INDICATIONS: use ROOT not bark. In small doses it is completely safe to use for children and pregnant women
