MUGWORT

(Artemisia Vulgaris)


A bitter, aromatic, tonic herb that acts as a digestive stimulant, diuretic, and nerve tonic,and increases perspiration. It stimulates the uterus and expels intestinal parasites

PROPERTIES: anti-spasmodic, aromatic, diaphoretic, diuretic, emmenagogue, hemostatic, narcotic (mild), nervine, stimulant, stomachic, tonic (bitter)

Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris)
· is a bitter tonic and can be used for digestion and liver function improvement
· is an invigorating, aromatic herb that has antiseptic qualities and is capable of expelling worms and other parasites
· mugwort has been useful for all complaints of the digestive system such as constipation and indigestion
· effective in promoting menstruation, has a stimulating effect on uterine circulation and also helping with cramps
· combines with Chamaelirium, Mentha pulegium and Artemisia abrotanum in menstrual irregularity
· combines with Tanacetum and Picrasma in threadworm and roundworm
· best used in small quantities and for short periods of time

SUGGESTED DOSAGE: should be used as directed by a qualified professional practitioner.
Tincture - Spray:
3-6 pumps three times daily.
Extract: ½ tsp 3 times daily for short periods of time.
Contra Indications: Avoid during pregnancy. Can be toxic taken in large doses.
Rarely given to children.
