BUGLEWEED

(Lycopus virginicus)


A bitter, faintly aromatic herb that controls bleeding, supporesses coughs, and lowers blood sugar levels. It slows and strengthens heart contractions and inhibits thyroid stimulating hormones.

PROPERTIES: astringent, bitter, diuretic, emmenagogue, hemostatic, sedative, tonic

Bugleweed (Lycopus virginicus)
· has the ability to improve the tone of the heart and also improves blood circulation through the capillaries
· an effective cardiac tonic, stabilizing rapid or irregular heartbeat due to nervous condition
· reported to be effective at arresting internal bleeding
· has been success in working to control excessive menstruation
· also for hyperthyroidism, coughs and tuberculosis
· combines well with Scoparium and or Convallaria in cardiac cases
· may be used with Prunus bidens and or Asclepias for pulmonary conditions

SUGGESTED DOSAGE: should be used as directed by a qualified professional practitioner.
Tincture - Spray:
3-6 pumps three times daily.
Extract: ½ tsp 3 times daily
